Talent Development Programme (RISE - Reflection, Innovation, Synergy, Expression)
The Humanities Department offers a structured Talent Development Programme (RISE) for Secondary 2 G3 and Secondary 3 G3 students who demonstrate a passion and aptitude for the Humanities. The students go through modular RISE programmes from Term 1-3, mentored by teachers who guide them on various Humanities topics and train them for competitions.
RISE collaborates with LLP (ASCEND) to train Secondary 2 RISE students and student-leaders in Model United Nations structures, equipping them with communication and research skills to contribute meaningfully to global issues discussions.
One of the department’s efforts is building meaningful learning connections across academic subjects. Hence, in 2026, Secondary 3 RISE students collaborated with Science and Mathematics TDP students, as part of the school’s inaugural Korean Virtual Exchange Programme. The TDP students from across the three disciplines worked virtually with their Korean counterparts to explore and share perspectives on sustainability.
The close teacher-student mentorship in RISE has enabled our students to win accolades at the various competitions over the years.
